Nigerian Youths Urged to Exercise Patience as Tinubu Promises Support from Microfinance Banks for Loans

President Bola Tinubu delivered a heartfelt message to Nigerian youths, urging them to be patient and understanding during the challenging times caused by his economic and monetary policies. He expressed confidence that these hardships would eventually pave the way for a more prosperous, equitable, and inclusive economy.

The assurance was given during a meeting with the national youth leaders of the All Progressives Congress from all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory, held in Abuja on Thursday.

President Tinubu made a commitment to involve the youths in the governance and decision-making processes, assuring them that no decision would be too difficult for his administration to make if it ensures the prosperity and unity of the nation.

"I pledge to the country that no decision will be too difficult for this administration to take in pursuit of our nation's prosperity and unity. Economic reforms may require time and patience, and I ask you to bear with us a little longer," President Tinubu stated empathetically. "I understand the challenges you are facing, and it's not easy to dismantle a system like the fuel subsidy, which has been in place for over 40 years."

Moreover, President Tinubu emphasized that his administration would take all necessary steps to create more opportunities for women and youth. One of these measures includes working closely with lending institutions to offer micro-loans at very low-interest rates to support economic activities among citizens.

The visit by the APC national youth leader, Abdullahi Israel, was primarily to congratulate the president on the party's victory in the 2023 polls. During the meeting, Mr. Israel expressed the continued support of the youth and appealed to President Tinubu to consider them for appointments in the dissolved boards and agencies of government.

In conclusion, President Bola Tinubu's call for patience and understanding resonates with Nigerian youths as he assures them that his administration is committed to creating a more prosperous and inclusive future for the nation. The youth's engagement in governance will be prioritized, and measures to support economic activities will be implemented to benefit citizens, including women and young people.
